Ken’s professional journey has developed through technical management, plant operations, executive leadership, entrepreneurship and national-level governance.
Progressed from Trainee Supervisor to Technical Manager/Assistant to the General Manager across clay and concrete operations, engineering, quality, quarries and industrial relations.
Served in senior plant, general-management and chief-executive roles, leading strategy, operations, finance, engineering, capital planning, industrial relations and quality systems.
Founder and leader of an enterprise spanning specialised ceramic production, printing, professional advisory services and applied training.
Leadership and governance experience across employer representation, national insurance, tripartite labour relations, development institutions, insurance and standards.

A Ministry of Finance media release later records him among the members receiving instruments of appointment to the new Board in December 2010.

Agriculture & research
Drawing on extensive industry experience, Ken brought his engineering and management perspective into a new field: tropical agriculture.
His UWI work has included research on tunnel-ventilated housing systems for poultry, fodder production and nutritional assessment for ruminants. He is currently an MPhil candidate examining Tunnel Ventilation Housing Systems, with an overall focus on poultry development and CARICOM food security.
Recognised for Ken’s final-year research project on the use of tunnel-ventilated houses in the Caribbean.

History & editorial work
Editor · Commemorative publication
1813–2013
Ken served as Editor of the commemorative history published by Lodge United Brothers No. 251 S.C. The publication brought together two centuries of history, images and institutional memory in a limited edition of 225 copies.
Music & cultural legacy
Music has never been a footnote in Ken’s story. He led the Indian crossover band Melo Bugs, later known as D Carib Melo Bugs, and was the person who came up with the band’s name.
The story stretches from his younger years as a guitarist to later performances and reunions — a living connection to friendship, cultural crossover and Caribbean music-making.
Beyond the résumé
Sport, the outdoors, music and service have all remained part of Ken’s life. His interests have included cricket, football, swimming, lawn tennis, badminton, squash, volleyball, chess, camping, scuba diving, marathon running and golf — alongside a continuing commitment to mentoring and community service.
